FATAL FIRE - UPDATE (Blind River, Ont.) East Algoma O.P.P. are still in the preliminary stages of the investigation and can only confirm that the victim in Tuesday’s residential fire in Blind River was 72-year-old Hans JENSEN of 172 Cobden Ave.

Fatal House Fire Investigation Underway (Blind River, Ont.) Shortly after 9:45 a.m. East Algoma O.P.P. were alerted to a house fire on Cobden Ave. in Blind River. Blind River Fire Dept and Ambulance personnel were already on the scene.

Confrontation Leads to Charges (Elliot Lake, Ont.) On Thursday, February 24, 2005 police received a call from a male complaining that he had been threatened.

Suspicious Person (Elliot Lake, Ont.) The East Algoma OPP is investigating several complaints regarding a male frequenting female bathrooms. Police are asking females be cautions when using public restrooms.

Young Man Suffers Fatal Injuries In Tobogganing Accident (Huntsville, Ontario) Huntsville O.P.P. is investigating the death of a young man, Richard Doherty, 19 years of age, from Orangeville.

Failing To Stop For School Bus On Monday the 14th Feb 05 at 8:41 am while a school bus was picking up students on Cardwell Street in Manitowaning a vehicle drove past the school bus while the flashing red lights and stop arm was out.

Break and Enter Echo Bay, Ont., Sault Ste Marie OPP are investigating a break and enter into an apartment in Echo Bay. The occupant of the apartment arrived home yesterday afternoon to discover the door to the apartment kicked in.
