Fatal House Fire Investigation Underway

(Blind River, Ont.) Shortly after 9:45 a.m. East Algoma O.P.P. were alerted to a house fire on Cobden Ave. in Blind River.
Blind River Fire Dept and Ambulance personnel were already on the scene. One person was removed from the house and taken to St. Josephs Health Center where they were found to have succumbed to injuries believed to be sustained in the fire.
The cause of the fire is yet undetermined and the Office of the Fire Marshall has been called in to assist in the investigation.

The investigation is still in the preliminary stages and more information will be released, as it is available.
