Dangerous Drugs Stolen (Little Current, Ont.) – Manitoulin O.P.P. are presently investigating a theft from the Manitoulin Health Centre in Little Current, where a large number of pharmaceutical drugs were stolen on Wednesday the 23rd February 2005.

(Little Current, Ont.) – Manitoulin O.P.P. are presently investigating a theft from the Manitoulin Health Centre in Little Current, where a large number of pharmaceutical drugs were stolen on Wednesday the 23rd February 2005.

The drugs that were stolen are for specific aliments to treat medical conditions and are extremely dangerous to the public if an unsuspecting person either ingests it or injects it into their system. Some of these drugs can even cause death. OPP are warning the public to be aware as these drugs could be out on the streets in circulation.

Manitoulin OPP are working diligently in solving this theft of Pharmaceuticals Drugs and are asking the publics assistance, that if anyone has any knowledge or information about these drugs they are asked to call police or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS. You can remain anonymous and information given that leads to the arrest and or conviction of person(s) could result in a large cash reward.

Charges for Threats

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) On February 23, 2005 police attended a local grocery store regarding a possible threatening. Investigation revealed that a male customer had attended the store on February 22, 2005 and allegedly became upset over a product not being available. Charged with ONE (1) count of Utter Threat to Cause Death or Bodily Harm is Joseph Wallace VALLIER (66) of Elliot Lake. VALLIER is scheduled to appear in court on April 5th, 2005.


Police Cruiser Slides into Truck

Sault Ste Marie, Ont. - An OPP officer from the Sault Ste. Marie Detachment suffered minor injuries yesterday after his cruiser slid into the back of a pickup truck.

Yesterday at about 1:30 p.m. the officer was pulling the truck over on Highway 17 just inside the north city limits.

The cruiser went into the back of the pick up truck and because of the height of the truck it slid under the bumper of the truck and into the undercarriage of the vehicle.

The officer was taken to Sault and Area Hospital where he was examined for minor injuries.

The operator of the pick up truck was not injured.

The cruiser had major damage to the front of the car and had to be towed from the scene.

The pickup truck had little to no damage.

This collision in still under investigation by various levels of supervisors with the OPP.


Two 'southerners' in custody


Sault Ste Marie, Ont. - Two members of the OPP Traffic and Marine Unit in Sault Ste Marie arrested two people from south Ontario yesterday with a stolen vehicle.

Yesterday at about 8:00 a.m. the officers were on Black Road in Sault Ste Marie.

They saw a van that was wanted for the theft of gas in Bruce Mines earlier in the morning.

The officers turned around and the van pulled over when the officers turned their roof lights on.

Two occupants of the stolen van were taken into custody without incident.

One adult male and a female young offender will appear in bail court today.

Twenty-three-year-old Jarimie Wayne PALMER of Woodstock Ontario will face charges of Theft Under $5000, two charges of Possession of Stolen Property, Breach of a Recognizance and Breach of Probation.

A fifteen-year-old female young offender from Woodstock Ontario faces a charge of Theft Under $5000 and Possession of Stolen Property.
