Theft from vehicle

(Serpent River First Nation Territory) - Sometime after 8 p.m. on the evening of the 24th a Serpent River resident had her vehicle damaged while at a meeting.

Culprits had broken into her van and removed the owner’s purse.
She noticed that some items had been taken and reported the incident to the police.

Officers from East Algoma OPP attended the crime scene and seized some items that may help identify the thieves.
Two yet-unidentified youths had been seen in the parking lot prior to the theft. Police are reminding all persons to take valuables with them when they leave their vehicles or at least put them out of sight.
