SUSPECT SOUGHT AFTER ASSUALT ON WOMAN Goulais River, Ont., A Goulais River woman fled her house last night after being assaulted by a man in the same house. At about 10:00 p.m., the woman arrived at the house with her two children.

BATCHAWANA BREAK AND ENTER Batchewana First Nation, Ont., The Batchewana First Nation Police are investigating a break and enter from yesterday. Sometime between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. a home in the 300 block of Frontenac Street was entered.

STOLEN TIMBER Echo Bay, Ont., Someone has illegally removed two hundred acres of timber from the Haversack Lake area north of Echo Bay. Sault Ste Marie OPP were called to the Haversack Lake area in Kehoe Twp north of Echo Bay yesterday.

DEATH THREAT LANDS HEYDEN MAN IN JAIL Heyden, Ont., Sault Ste Marie OPP arrested a thirty-six-year-old Heyden man last night after a Goulais River woman had her life threatened. At about 6:00 p.m.

STOLEN SKIDDER CHAINS Searchmont, Ont., Sault Ste. Marie OPP is trying to locate some stolen skidder chains and the two thieves that took them. Yesterday morning, officers were called to a logging operation just off of Hwy 556 in the Searchmont area.

CHARGES AFTER ?ROAD RAGE? INCIDENT Garden River, Ont., Several OPP detachments were involved in a solving a "road rage" incident yesterday morning. At about 8:15 a.m., a motorist was traveling on Hwy 17 in the Garden River First Nation.

HWY 17 NORTH RE-OPENED Goulais River, Ont., Sault Ste. Marie O.P.P. has re- opened Hwy 17 north of Sault Ste. Marie through to Wawa. The Ministry of Transportation requested that the highway be closed at about 2:00 a.m. this morning.
