HOUSE FIRE Goulais River, Ont. O.P.P. and the Goulais Fire and Rescue were called to a house fire yesterday morning on the Bye Side Road. The building was totally destroyed. At the time there was no one at home so there was no injury or loss of life.

UPDATE TO FATAL DESBARATS COLLISION Desbarats, Ontario. Members of the Thessalon office of the East Algoma O.P.P. are still investigating yesterday's fatal collision that killed a local teenager and sent four other teens to area hospitals.

NUMEROUS CHARGES IN SINGLE VEHICLE INJURY COLLISION Heyden, Ont., A single vehicle collision early this morning in Heyden resulted in one man going to hospital and numerous criminal charges laid against the driver. At about 1:00 a.m.

VANDALISM TO VEHICLE Heyden, Ont., Sault Ste Marie OPP are investigating the vandalism to a vehicle parked at the Heyden Plaza. Some time late yesterday afternoon vandals repeatedly kicked the side of a car.

HIGHWAY 17 REOPENED Thessalon, Ont. A winter storm had closed highway 17 between Iron Bridge and Blind River early this morning. Snow and blowing snow had made the highway impassable.
