O.P.P. had a very quiet night last night with nothing to report except the seat belt initiative. 100 vehicles were stopped and one seat belt charge was laid.

QUIET NIGHT O.P.P. had a very quiet Sunday with no occurrences to report. The seatbelt initiative is continuing. A total of 184 vehicles were checked yesterday with no charges or warnings issued. There was 100% compliance with the law.

SINGLE VEHICLE COLLISION LEAVES ONE MAN DEAD Garden River First Nation, Ont., Sault Ste Marie OPP are investigating a single vehicle collision on the Garden River First Nation Territory that has left one man dead. At about 6:30 p.m.

Sault Ste Marie OPP are investigating a break and enter to a house and shed on Maki Lake in the Heyden area. Sometime in the past week, culprits forced open a door on the house and enter the home.
