The Sault Ste Marie OPP are continuing with their daily festive R.I.D.E. checks through out the surrounding area. Officers on both day and night shifts are conducting R.I.D.E. checks at various locations in the OPP policing jurisdiction.

The Ontario Provincial Police in Sault Ste Marie, and across the Province, are committed to continuing the constant positive change in attitude that impaired driving has attained. It is no longer socially acceptable to drink and drive anywhere in Ontario and Canada. A combination of education and enforcement has resulted in safer highways for all motorists.

The OPP will continue on their crusade to catch the remaining people who still refuse to get the message that this type of driving behavior will no longer be tolerated.
