NUMEROUS CHARGES IN SINGLE VEHICLE INJURY COLLISION
Heyden, Ont.,

A single vehicle collision early this morning in Heyden resulted in one man going to hospital and numerous criminal charges laid against the driver.

At about 1:00 a.m. this morning, a car was southbound on Hwy 17 in Heyden. The vehicle left the roadway and rolled over. A passenger in the car was taken to Sault Area Hospital by ambulance. He was held overnight for observation and released this morning.

The driver of the car now faces four criminal charges including two drinking and driving charges. Forty-six-year old Lloyd Misener of Sault Ste Marie now faces charges of Impaired Driving, Driving over .08, Driving While Disqualified and Breach of Probation.

Investigation in this case has revealed that Mr. Misener's licence to drive was suspended in November of 2002 and that he was placed on probation for another drinking and driving offence at that time.

He will appear in court on April 7 2003 to answer to these charges.

READ THE SIGNS!!
Heyden, Ont.,

The owner of a pick-up truck will be charged under the Highway Traffic Act after his truck was left in a snow plow and school bus turn around.

Sault Ste Marie OPP were called to the end of Trout Lake Rd in Heyden after reports that people living in that area saw the truck parked in the turn around.

There are two signs at this location. One indicates that there is no parking at that location so that the snow plow can turn around there and the second sign indicates no parking so the school buses can turn around in the same spot.

Like most parking offences in Ontario, the registered owner of the vehicle is responsible for the fines.
