STOLEN TIMBER Echo Bay, Ont., Someone has illegally removed two hundred acres of timber from the Haversack Lake area north of Echo Bay. Sault Ste Marie OPP were called to the Haversack Lake area in Kehoe Twp north of Echo Bay yesterday.

Someone has illegally removed two hundred acres of timber from the Haversack Lake area north of Echo Bay.

Sault Ste Marie OPP were called to the Haversack Lake area in Kehoe Twp north of Echo Bay yesterday. Approximately 200 acres of timber have been harvested off of private property around the Haversack Lake area. A private individual from this area had been granted exclusive rights to log the private bush lot by the owner.

Sometime over the weekend the logger went into that area and discovered that another logger had illegally removed about 200 acres of the timber.

The investigation in ongoing and so far none of the harvested timber has been located.
