City Police Beat

City Police attended to the 100 block of Pim St. to investigate a Break and Enter which occurred overnight. Thieves forcibly entered through an office door and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and liquor.

A business was reported broken into on Cedar Street. A cash register was reported stolen. ************************* Prescription medications were reported stolen from a residence in the 600 block of Queen Street West.

Arrests/Charged Persons: Jeremy Miller, 34, of 315 Gillies Avenue was arrested for 2 counts of assault. The accused will appear in court on July 16, 2012 at 9:00am.

4:30PM Update : On the 14th June 2012, at approximately 1:00pm, officer attempted to arrest a male on outstanding warrants. A struggle ensued and the accused was arrested a few houses away.

Arrests/Charged Persons: On the 13 June 2012, Michael Radford of 655 Wallace Terrace, was observed by employees of Total Tire going through vehicles. The accused was arrested by officers and charge with one count of attempt theft from a vehicle.

4:50 PM update Arrest: Accused was involved in a vehicle accident and left the scene. Officers noticed an erratic driver on Old Garden River Road by Landslide Road. The driver was found to be in an intoxicated state.

4:50 PM UPDATE Arrest : Occurrence at the court house this morning at approximately 11:05 am. Male subject arrested for possession of a narcotic and obstruct police.

************************ 39 year old Roy Hamilton of 437 Sherbourne St. will be in Bail Court on Monday for violating his conditional sentence order. He is bound by conditions of house arrest and was found out of his residence by officers.

5:45 PM update Boat capsized at Red Rock At 4:09 p.m. officers assisted the OPP by responding to a call for assistance in the Pebble Beach Creek area of Red Rock for a capsized boat.
