4:50 PM update Arrest: Accused was involved in a vehicle accident and left the scene. Officers noticed an erratic driver on Old Garden River Road by Landslide Road. The driver was found to be in an intoxicated state.

Arrest: Accused was involved in a vehicle accident and left the scene.  Officers noticed an erratic driver on Old Garden River Road by Landslide Road.  The driver was found to be in an intoxicated state. Arrested was Robert Edward Stong – age 60 of 184 Landslide Road – charged with impaired driving – consuming over the legal limit and leaving the scene of an accident – The accused will appear in court on July 16, 2012 at 9:00 am.

Young person arrested and charged with unlawfully in a dwelling house – mischief under $5000 and assault with a weapon. The accused entered a residence unlawfully breaking the glass on the front door and the glass on the fire place. The accused then hit the victim in the face with the handle of a hammer. – The accused will appear in bail court on June 13, 2012 at 10:00am

Police are warning that with the nice weather comes the time of year that bicycles are being stolen.

Thefts of bicycles occurred in the area of Grand Blvd. and the Korah road area.

Bail Court Appearance Arrests/Charged Persons with Court Appearance Dates:

A 37 year old was charged with domestic assault in the downtown area after a confrontation. Police attended, investigated and charged the accused with one count of assault. Further investigation through a CPIC query showed the accused on a probation order and as a result two more counts of breach of probation were added. The accused will be held for bail court on June 12.

A 22 year old male drove through a fast food service drive at approximately 2:14  and was seen openly drinking alcohol in the vehicle. Police were called, responded and stopped the vehicle on Trunk Rd. The accused smelled of alcohol and a roadside breath demand was made. The accused was given multiple opportunities to provide an adequate sample but failed to do so. Brock Kinnunen of 151 Sackville was charged with failing to provide a breath sample and given a court date for his first appearance on July 16.
