POLICE RESCUE STRANDED SEA-DOOERS The Sault Ste. Marie O.P.P. Marine Patrol assisted two stranded Sea-Dooers yesterday at 3:30 p.m. on Haviland Bay about one kilometre from shore.

HEAD-ON COLLISION The Sault O.P.P. investigated an unusual two-vehicle accident yesterday at 8:39 p.m. Two ATV's collided head-on on Tilley Road in Norberg Township, located off Mile 38 Road.

The Sault Ste. Marie detachment investigated a single-vehicle accident last night at 11:26 involving a deer. A Chevrolet Silverado driven by Chris Oliver of the Sault was travelling on Highway 17 north in Tilley Township when he struck a deer.

Last night at Ojibway Park there was a concert with local bands called "Sandblast 2000". There were several incidents that required police attention but details are not yet available. The O.P.P.

Sault O.P.P. officers responded to three separate complaints of roaming bears at Beaumont Trailer Park at 11:00 last night. The two bears were observed tearing up garbage cans and boxes at numerous locations in the park.

BOATING FATALITY Haviland Bay A resident of Haviland Bay was operating a small fishing boat about 500 yards offshore yesterday. A short time later, the boat was spotted but the operator was missing so neighbours notified police. The Sault O.P.P.
