The Sault Ste. Marie detachment investigated a single-vehicle accident last night at 11:26 involving a deer. A Chevrolet Silverado driven by Chris Oliver of the Sault was travelling on Highway 17 north in Tilley Township when he struck a deer.

The Sault Ste. Marie detachment investigated a single-vehicle accident last night at 11:26 involving a deer. A Chevrolet Silverado driven by Chris Oliver of the Sault was travelling on Highway 17 north in Tilley Township when he struck a deer. Tilley was not injured. The deer was killed. There was over $1,000 damage to the vehicle. No charges are being laid.

The RIDE program was active at the Ojibwe Park yesterday. Of the 512 vehicles checked, 9 twelve-hour suspensions were issued and 1 charge of impaired driving was laid.
