Sault O.P.P. officers responded to three separate complaints of roaming bears at Beaumont Trailer Park at 11:00 last night. The two bears were observed tearing up garbage cans and boxes at numerous locations in the park. The bears showed no fear when confronted by shouting local residents.

One resident of the park for the past 23 years stated that he has never seen such a bear problem. People are afraid to walk outdoors at night.

You are requested to stay clear of bears. The animals are attracted to garbage. It is recommended that you keep your garbage in a secure container.
