HOUNDS CUFF WOLVES

Just in case anyone has been keeping track, it was the 228th regular season meeting in OHL history between the Greyhounds and the Sudbury Wolves Wednesday night. And the Soo skated away with a 5-3 win before 2,410 fans at Memorial Gardens.

JR. HOUNDS 13TH IN CANADA

The Soo Junior Greyhounds are ranked 13th in the country among the more than 100 teams that are a part of the Canadian Junior A Hockey League.

THE ROAR OF THE COUGARS

There's a roar coming from Sault College, home of Cougar men's basketball team. Winners of three games in a row, the Cougars have a 4-2 record. Their two losses -- both on the road -- have been narrow ones, 93-90 to Lambton and 69-68 to St. Clair.

HOUNDS SPIT OUT OF WINDSOR

WINDSOR -- The Soo Greyhounds were outshot and outscored here Sunday before 2,770 fans at Windsor Arena.

HOUND WIN STREAK ENDS

A four-game Greyhound winning streak came to an end Saturday night in Plymouth. The Whalers built up a 3-0 after the first period and beat the Hounds 5-3 before more than 3,100 fans at Compuware Arena.

JR. HOUNDS LOSE AGAIN

On the heels of a 14-game winning streak the Soo Jr. Greyhounds have fallen on hard times of late as they have lost three straight games.

COUGARS WIN CROSS-TOWN WAR

Tim Walker scored 20 points as the Sault College Cougars took an Ontario Colleges Athletic Association men's basketball cross-town showdown with the Algoma University Thunderbirds Friday night at the George Leach Centre.

HOUNDS WIN FOURTH IN A ROW

The surging Soo Greyhounds won their fourth straight game on Thursday, a 6-3 road win over the Sarnia Sting.

JR. HOUNDS FINALLY LOSE

The streak was bound to end sooner or later. The Soo Jr. Greyhounds dropped their first game since a 4-3 loss in Sudbury back in the middle of October Tuesday night at Memorial Gardens. The defending champion Rayside Balfour Sabrecats handed the Jr.
