Members of the Sault Ste. Marie Gymnastics club competed in the Sunshine Classic on June 1st to 3rd in North Bay, returning with 62 medals. First up were the boys on Friday Night.

The U-12 boys squad follow suit with other Sault Civic teams with a successful weekend, at Strathclair Fields, winning the Lake Superior Cup.

North Bay - It was a gorgeous evening at the West Ferris Alumni Complex for the North Bay Bulldogs home opener. But the weather, a large crowd, and a solid defensive performance were not enough on this night.

A mid-afternoon rain shower didn’t dampen the spirits of fans and racers as sunshine and comfortable temperatures returned to the Kinross area well before the start of the fourth night of racing in 2007.

On June 2-3, the Sault YMCA Gymnastics Club traveled to North Bay for the Gymtrix Sunshine Classic Invitational Competition. The local club had 20 athletes participate in this competition, ranging in age from 7 to 15 and Level 2 threw 5.

The System International U12 Girls Civics team opened the U14 97 outdoor season with two consecutive shutout victories. Monday they overcame a steady rain and a tough Midas Muffler team to win 3-0.
