BANK FRAUD The Thunder Bay police have contacted the Sault Ste. Marie police to warn the public about another scam that is making rounds again. The same fraudster hit both Thunder Bay and Sault Ste. Marie last year with a similar description.

FALSE ALARM Three police cars, an ambulance and a fire truck converged on the intersection of Lake and Wellington Streets this morning at 7:30. A 9-1-1 caller had reported an individual slumped over in a vehicle.

ARGUMENT LEADS TO ARREST Yesterday at approximately 2:00 pm, the accused, Darin Schwemler, age 27 of 201 John Street, allegedly assaulted an adult female victim by grabbing her hair and left hand and pulling upward.

CHARGED WITH WRITING NSF CHEQUES On the 31st of January 2003, Gisella Gardi, age 52 of 20 Plummer Court was at a clothing store in the Station Mall. Mrs. Gardi allegedly purchased clothing in the amount of $865.

SHOPLIFTING CHARGES Yesterday at 6:20 pm, police officers were called to the Zellers Store in Station Mall where store security had arrested a female shoplifter.
