ARGUMENT LEADS TO ARREST
Yesterday at approximately 2:00 pm, the accused, Darin Schwemler, age 27 of 201 John Street, allegedly assaulted an adult female victim by grabbing her hair and left hand and pulling upward.

The assault took place after an argument escalated to physical violence at a residence in the one hundred block of Albert Street West. At 2:15 pm police officers located the accused at his residence and he was arrested and charged with Assault. He will appear in court on May 26th.


ARRESTED FOR SCHOOLYARD ASSUALT
On Wednesday, the accused, a 13-year-old male assaulted the victim, a school-age female, by pushing her back in the playground of a school in the city's east end.

The push to the victim caused her to fall into one of her girl friends who also fell to the ground. A 3rd female schoolmate received an elbow to the chin from the accused while he was pushing the first victim.

Yesterday afternoon, patrol officers went to the school and arrested the accused under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. All parties agreed to several hours of local community service.


MAN ASSAULTS WIFE
Yesterday at approximately 9:25 pm, the accused, a 46-year-old male from Goulais Avenue allegedly assaulted his 45-year-old wife by pulling her shirt and grabbing her hair.

The assault occurred in the couple's residence on Goulais Avenue after the male became upset with her. Police went to the residence and arrested and charged the male with Assault. He will appear in court on June 2nd.


BREAK & ENTER
The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service investigated one break and enter to a business on Black Road yesterday. Shortly before 7:00 am, staff from Auto Tune Clinics at 113 Black Road advised police that thieves had entered a trailer parked behind the building by forcing the door open.

Thieves then went through a quantity of parts in the trailer before leaving the area. This investigation is continuing and anyone with information about it is asked to call police at 949-6300 or Crime Stoppers.
