The Soo Bantam Black Sox continue tryouts for the 2008 season this week on Tuesday, Oct. 16th 5:30-7:00 PM, Wednesday, Oct. 17th 5:30-7:00 PM, Saturday, Oct. 20th 3:00-5:00 PM and Sunday, Oct. 21st 11:00am-1:00 PM.

The Soo Greyhounds aren't showing any signs of slowing down. Putting together another solid performance from the goaltender out, the Hounds skated past the Saginaw Spirit 5-1 on Friday night at the Steelback Centre in front of 4,673 fans.

Central Algoma Secondary School has started an elementary volleyball development program for grades 5-10. In its first year, the program called “Little Spike” has attracted 110 students from CASS and its family of schools.

The Central Algoma Secondary School girls basketball teams hosted Manitoulin S.S. in North Shore play on Tuesday. The CASS senior girls improved to 2 wins and 0 losses with a 31-25 win over the Mustangs.

The Soo Greyhounds began their second longest homestand of the season on Wednesday night with a solid 7-2 victory over the Sarnia Sting.

The AJ Buslines / Fisher Wavy Atom AA Reps beat the Marquette Sentinels in a pair of games over the weekend. In the first game, AJ Bus Lines/ Fisher Wavy won by a score of 4-3.
