LONDON -- Defenceman Trevor Daley scored his third goal of the game with 44 seconds left in the third period to give the Soo Greyhounds a 5-4 win over the London Knights before 6,664 fans at the John Labatt Centre on Sunday night.

I-500 HISTORY MADE

SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. -- Corey Davidson continued his legacy here Saturday at the 35th running of the I-500 Snowmobile Race. The native of Newfounden, Minn. became only the second driver in I-500 history to win for the fourth time.

NORTH STARS CUFF CUBS

HOUNDS LACK SPIRIT IN LOSS TO SAGINAW

SAGINAW, Mich. -- A seven-game road trip is off to a losing start for the Soo Greyhounds. After losing 7-3 in Sarnia to the Sting on Thursday, the Greyhounds were drubbed 6-2 by the lowly Saginaw Spirit before a crowd of 4,520 here Friday.

COUGARS WIN OCAA MEN'S HOOPS THRILLER

A capacity crowd at the cozy Sault College gym was treated to an outstanding Ontario Colleges Athletic Association men's basketball game on Friday night. In the end, the Sault College Cougars emerged with a tight 81-79 win over the Lambton Lions.

SARNIA PUTS STING ON HOUNDS

SARNIA -- The Sarnia Sting smoked the Soo Greyhounds 7-3 here Thursday for their first win of the season over their OHL West Division rivals.

Just one night after beating the Sudbury Northern Wolves 5-1 in the Nickel City, the Soo Jr. Greyhounds had to work a little overtime to get the job done this time around with a 5-4 overtime win Thursday night at Memorial Gardens. The Jr.

The Sault College Cougars will try to surpass Lambton tonight when they play host to the Lions in a 6:30 p.m. OCAA men's basketball game.

LAMBTON BEATS ST. CLAIR; AT SAULT COLLEGE FRIDAY

The Lambton Lions defeated the St. Clair Saints 74-62 Wednesday night to move ahead of the Sault College Cougars and further tighten the men's basketball standings in the OCAA West Region. Friday at 6:30 p.m., Sault College will play host to Lambton.
