Sault Ste. Marie native Paul Maurice has signed a multi-year contract to continue as head coach of the NHL Carolina Hurricanes, it was announced Tuesday.

ACT FEMALE AWARDS

Angela Mei is this year's winner of the Percy Bedford Award as the Sault's top female high school athlete. Mei, a graduating OAC student at Korah, was honoured Tuesday night at the annual ACT awards banquet.
