More charges to be laid against double murder suspect

********************** The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service continues to work on and investigate the double homicide that claimed the life of 40-year-old Melody Burtis and her 8-year old son Harley Baxter-Burtis.

With the continuation of the investigation, further charges are expected to be laid against 33-year old Albert Ouimet of no fixed address.

The accused [shown in a photo taken this morning by SooToday.com's Carol Martin] appeared in bail court this morning.

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service will be holding a news conference at the Police Services Building, located at 580 Second Line East, on Monday April 24 at 2 p.m. sharp. Until that date and time no further details will be released to the media.
