Sault Police Sergeant Jane Martynuk confirmed shortly after 10 a.m. today that the two bodies discovered in the West End six hours earlier were found at Greenwood Cemetery.

At the time of the latest update of this article (10:10 a.m., Sgt. Martynuk was briefing reporters at the crime scene.

SooToday.com's Carol Martin reports that one-third of the cemetery on People's Road is secured this morning with crime-scene tape.

The cemetery is located south of Fourth Line at the intersection of the Fourth Line and Peoples Road.

As of 9:30 a.m. Carol reported that no police activity was visible within the cemetery from her vantage-point on Peoples Road.

An officer was standing at the cemetary's Gate One turning away traffic, including a City works vehicle that tried to enter the property this morning.

Around 4 a.m. this morning City Police discovered two bodies in the city's West End.

Police currently have one male in custody.

Officers from Investigation Services and the Forensic Unit have been called out.

This is an ongoing investigation in its preliminary stages.

No further details are being released at this time.
