The Root of it All

The first thing I need to say is that I despise the phrase “May Two-Four.” I can deal with a “two-four” being a nickname for a case of beer.

In the headlines earlier this week a bicyclist was charged after being involved in a collision with a motor vehicle. While I hope other cyclists get the message, I expect many won’t.

With apologies to David Frost and the BBC. What a week we’ve had, here in the Sault. It started with a “threatening message” e-mailed to the Algoma District School Board.

Spring is definitely in the air, today. I’m finding it difficult to get myself focused on doing anything productive.

It is said that religion and politics do not make for good dinner conversation. We often see these very topics discussed in our forums, leading me to believe that these are topics that people are passionate about.

Time to pick up where I left off with the traffic series. It seems, at least from my observations, that many people are unaware of the purpose of traffic signals in general, and red lights in particular.

Today, instead of offering my views on those drivers who don’t seem to understand the purpose of Traffic Lights and Stop/Yield Signs, I would like to address the claims of the “Sault Memorial Gardens Rededication Committee.

I have written several editorials regarding the shoddy driving habits I have witnessed in other drivers.
