Assault and Mischief Yesterday evening City Police officers attended at an east end residence and arrested a 23-year-old male for Assault and Mischief. It is alleged that on Friday Aug 5th the male assaulted a female, known to him, by choking her.

Bomb Threat at Local Casino Yesterday afternoon City Police were called to the Sault Charity Casino after a bomb threat was received over the telephone. The Casino Security evacuated the building.

Investigation Continues The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is continuing to investigate the stabbing that occurred around 4 am this morning. The incident occurred on Queen Street West in between John Street and Huron Street.

Tour Bus On Fire The Sault Ste. Marie Police Services and the Sault Fire Services were kept busy just after 2 am this morning. Around 2:18 am Police and Fire personnel attended at the rear of the Best Western Hotel for a tour bus that was on fire.

Male Charged with Assault A 36-year old male will appear in a bail court this morning after being arrested yesterday morning. Just after 6:30 am yesterday morning City Police attended at a downtown residence.

Bank Skimming Machines On the weekend the SSM Police received information that bank machine skimmers were at 2 ATM machines at 2 Royal Bank locations.
