I have finally managed a few days to get caught up on my gardening tasks, have you? This is the perfect time for a bit of pruning, weeding and fertilizing so the gardens look good right through to fall.

It's the time of year to assess your planters, window boxes and hanging baskets so they look good right through to fall.

Can planting continue throughout the summer months? The answer to that frequently asked question is "Yes, as long as you are around to water your new plants.

It is so nice to finally be out in the yard enjoying summer weather! Temperatures are still a little cool at night but the advantage is that many early summer flowering shrubs and perennials will bloom for a longer period of time.

It's the time of year to look for disease in the garden. Unfortunately, the weather we have been having is the perfect breeding ground for disease. It is much easier to prevent plant disease than cure it.

Although gardens are a bit behind this year due to cooler spring weather, most gardeners have finished the majority of planting of annual containers, flower beds and vegetable gardens.

I always need to plan ahead as my garden time is limited at this busy point in the season, so asked myself, "Do I have all the tools/products/plants I need to accomplish my goals.

Despite the up and down weather this spring, we are starting to see pest problems in the garden.

Now that we are passed the full moon of June, hopefully we have seen the last of spring frosts. Up and down temperatures and shifts from sunny days to drenching rain has been frustrating for all gardeners, however we are a persistent bunch.
