POLICE NAME WOMAN CHARGED IN THROAT-STABBING At 1:10 am this morning patrol officers were dispatched to an apartment complex in the hill top area for a domestic dispute.

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service laid 135 charges under the Highway Traffic Act from Friday the 10th of October until Friday the 17th of October. The charges were for a variety of offences in a variety of locations in the city.

City Police reports a fairly busy but routine Saturday night. During the past twenty-four hours there have been 9 traffic accidents resulting in minor property damage. No injuries were reported.

ASSAULT CHARGE On Friday, the 10th of October 2003, the accused a 39 year old male from the city, assaulted his common law wife causing a cut to the back of her head, bruising to her arms and to go unconscious.

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service issued 124 tickets under the Highway Traffic Act for the week ending October 10th. These tickets were for a variety of offences in various areas of the city.

The Sault City Police Service has had a relatively quiet weekend in spite of the full moon. There were two people in custody this morning, one for a liquor offence and the other for Breach of Recognizance.

The City Police Service answered several routine calls last night and arrested one person for being drunk in a public place. There were no accidents or other newsworthy items to report.
