The Scotiabank U-11 Boys Civic soccer team, in their season debut, reached the semi-finals in tournament play. The Civics lost to the eventual tournament winner Byron Athletics (London) 4-2 in the semi-final.

The Vancouver Giants captured the Memorial Cup on Sunday evening on home ice. The Giants defeated fellow Western Hockey League rival Medicine Hat Tigers 3-1 in the one-game championship final. Further details will follow.
