Yes, that's the Sault's Carly Weeks, hobnobbing in Washington with former Democratic presidential candidate Joe Lieberman.

SooToday.com received the following holiday update from Carly's parents, Judy and Les Weeks:

******************** Our daughter Carly Weeks has been living in Washington D.C. for the last few months and has used SooToday.com to maintain her awareness of her hometown.

She has been attending the Washington Center for Politics and Journalism and interned at the Globe and Mail bureau.

During her first week in Washington she attended a luncheon at the National Press Gallery and sat at the same table as Donald Rumsfeld.

She also met Helen Thomas, G. Gordon Liddy, Al Franken, Ralph Goodale, and Senator (former vice-presidential candidate) Joe Lieberman.

We’re looking forward to having Carly home for a brief visit during the holidays.
