The following message from Andy, sent to us earlier this week, is one of many special greetings that SooToday.com is publishing over the holidays from expatriate Saultites.

******************** Thanks to SooToday.com for giving us homesick Saulites a chance to send our best wishes to friends and family in the Soo and area. Even though its been over 17 years since I last lived in the Sault I still call it home when people ask me where I am from.

This year my wife Rebecca and I welcomed our first child into the world.

Owen Peter Taylor was born March 17th, 2004 and is a very happy, busy little boy and is eagerly awaiting his first Christmas. In September we moved to the 'burbs of Mississauga to bigger place and to be closer to my work.

We couldn't make it home this Christmas, so we are doing the next best thing and having famiy down to visit us. Grandma Fern is due to arrive Christmas Day to see her grandson and spoil him rotten. We're hoping to make it up to the Soo next year for Christmas to give Owen a taste of a real white winter (we're still waiting for snow in Mississauga). Happy Holidays and Best Wishes for the New Year to everyone in the Sault and from the Sault. PS If you get a chance check out my tribute to the Sault at Memories of the Sault: http://www.timetravelreviews.com/soomemories/index.html

It's been a while since I updated, but I am always looking for more stories to include. People can write me at: [email protected] (The picture was taken this past November at the 100th Annual Santa Claus Day Parade in Toronto) - Andy Taylor
