The following message from Hayley Myers in Mississauga is one of many special greetings that SooToday.com has received over the holiday from expatriate Saultites.

If you're a former resident now living 200 or more kilometres away, you've missed this year's deadline for submissions.

But we'd sure like to hear from you next year.

********************** Happy Holidays Saultites. My sister Jackie and I grew up in the Soo and moved about a year and a half ago.

I moved to Mississauga and Jackie lives in Arthur (just north of Guelph).

Arthur is a small little city which is what Jackie really likes about it and I on the other hand enjoy the big city life of Toronto. I also had to educate some Torontonians with our "Soo lingo" can you believe nobody knows what a pack sack is??? We both graduated from Sault College.

I graduated from healthcare and now work at a group home for special needs children and Jackie graduated from Law and Security and works as a surveillance operator for a casino. We're both very happy here but of course there's nothing like the city you grew up in - especially if it's the Soo. I really miss all my friends and i hope you're all keeping well. Oh and believe it or not, I miss the snow.

I would LOVE to go snowmachining right about now. This picture was taken at my sister's Christmas Day in Arthur (I'm on the left and Jackie's on the right) Happy Holidays and have a safe new year. Sincerely, Hayley Myers
