WHITE POWDER ON SAULT LETTER Earlier this week, the Sault's weekly newspaper, The Sault This Week, received a letter from New York and reported to police that there was a "suspicious" powder on it.

TWO BREAK AND ENTERS, ONE STOLEN VEHICLE City police are investigating two break and enters to local businesses overnight. Beauty Complete, a hairstyling salon on March Street had its front windows smashed with rocks.

STOLEN VEHICLE Police observed a ½ ton truck southbound on Great Northern Road near Northern Avenue early this morning. Police were able to observe that the driver side door lock had been punched out.

MAN BARRICADED IN MOTEL - ARRESTED UNDER THE MENTAL HEALTH ACT Police were called to the Downtown Motel on the corner of East and Albert Streets at 7pm last evening. A man had barricaded himself in a room and was making threats.
