City Police had a very quiet twenty-four hour period. Sergeant Levis Vallee reports one drunk sleeping it off in a cell this morning and one young person going to WASH court today for a breach of probation.

CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED At 2:45 this morning city police responded to a report of a vehicle - train collision on Hudson Street. Upon arrival investigating officers determined that none of the involved persons was injured.

FATAL ACCIDENT One person has been killed in an accident yesterday afternoon at 12:02 on Trunk Road near the Eastend Husky. Dead is Mark O'Brien, age 55 of Glenview, Illinois.

FATAL ACCIDENT At 12:02 this afternoon, the Sault Ste Marie Police Service was called to investigate a multi-vehicle collision on Trunk Road near the East End Husky. Emergency Services were at the location.

STOLEN CAR CRASHES INTO HOUSE Two young persons were arrested early this morning after the stolen car they were driving struck a house in the 100 block of Bainbridge Street. Police observed a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed on North Street.

City police Sergeant Steve Low says it was a very quiet twenty-four hour period in the Sault. Two young males, ages 13 and 16, were arrested late yesterday afternoon for shoplifting.

NARCOTICS POSSESSION Yesterday morning shortly before noon hour, officers from the Joint Forces Drug Unit observed a male to have in his possession narcotics. As a result of this Denis Joseph Morin, age 42, of 153 Alexandra was arrested.
