The Soo Thunder moved a step closer to their goal of finishing in top spot in the Northern Ontario Bantam AAA Hockey League this weekend.

It is pretty safe to say that the Soo Thunderbirds look forward to playing the Blind River Beavers.

The Soo Greyhounds may have ended their three-game road trip with a tough loss but still returned home with four of a possible six points. On Sunday afternoon in Saginaw, the Hounds concluded their swing with a 5-4 loss to the Spirit in overtime.

The Soo Greyhounds reversed their shootout fortunes on Friday night with a big win on the road against the Sarnia Sting.

The Soo Thunderbirds and Sudbury Junior Wolves have developed quite a rivalry this season in the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League.
