A faithful SooToday.com reader has submitted these pictures of the small plane that made a forced landing today on Highway 17A in Garden River. At 11:45 a.m.

SooToday.com's Carol Martin is beside the downed plane at this hour. She tells us it's on the divided Highway 17A - the new bypass - just east of Belleau Lake Road at Syrette Lake Road, and it's going to be there for a while.

Initial reports from Garden River suggest that the downed plane there this morning was a forced landing, not a crash. And there appear to have been no injuries.
