********************** Season's Greetings from St. Catharines Fire Services

Season's Greetings to all my former co-workers at St. Marys Paper.

Two years has gone so fast; it is great to hear that the mill is holding its own.

I miss the paper mill crews and the 'hay outs' on the paper machines.

Different sirens down here but I worked hard to arrive at a full-time position in the fire service.

Greeting also to all the volunteer fire services in the North, mutual aid meetings are something I truly miss.

'Stretch' at the The West Side Café I miss as well.

And finally to all the residents of Algoma, be proud of your roots.

I never feel comfortable until I cross that border just outside Spanish and re-enter Algoma District.

A prosperous New Year to all.

Test your smoke alarms, uncover your gas vents of snow accumulation, clean your chimneys, and wave at your emergency service providers.

Regards, Duncan Rydall
