VIDEO: Canadian hockey star Brigette Lacquette on the ice with local girls

Lacquette's summer is busy training for her Olympic aspirations, but she is in Sault Ste Marie to help inspire the next generation

A member of the Women’s Canadian National hockey team, Brigette Lacquette, is in Sault Ste Marie as a special guest for a three day camp for local female hockey players.

Lacquette, born in Cote First Nation, has been selected to represent Canada on the national scene seven times during her career and currently plays in the Canadian Women’s Hockey League as a leader of the Calgary Inferno.

The three day camp will include three on ice sessions and one golf clinic.

All activities during the three day camp will be completely free of charge thanks to proceeds from the Little Caesars Winter Classic.
