Some great suggestions to enhance the existing beauty of our waterfront.
The big issue will be to find the massive dollars needed to bring this to fruition. However credit to our tourism and community development team for a putting forward such a great concept.

As much as I feel for the poor farmer, it appears the flight paths are dialled in and need to comply with Nav Can rules. To make adjustments would require an exhaustive study but itā€™s definitely an option. Iā€™m the meantime if I were Jim, Iā€™d likely invest in the best hearing protection and noise suppression devices on the market as an interim solution.

Hit send too early in my last post lol
I wanted to add the maintenance costs are likely quite low at 1.5m/year and would balloon considerably over time. Miss Caputo and council need to focus on the doctor shortage and homelessness issues, and 25m would go a long towards resolving these critical problems in our community.

I applaud Council for voting down this ridiculous suggestion. Outside of the initial 25m capital costs, the ongoing maintenance costs of 1.5m is likely low can ta

So two previous formal apologies in 2010 and 2015, and now this. I think itā€™s been beaten to death and time to move on. I believe Joe is right and this will only serve to resurrect the issue once again. In reality weā€™ve been providing French language services all along, given The Official Languages Act was enacted in 1969, making English and French Canada's official languages.

Sadly another sign of a worsening health care system. A merger in the long run will undoubtedly result in efficiencies being created by eliminating redundancies. I hope Ross Romanoā€™s task force comes up with some viable options to address the critical health care scenario in Algoma and throughout the province.

Great piece on an incredible musician. I haven't missed any of the Algoma Festival Choirā€™s performances over the past several years, and would encourage everyone to get out and take in this very talented group of vocalists lead by Steve. They constantly deliver amazing performances, using very relatable themes and iconic musical compositions we've all heard throughout our lifetime.

The vast majority of mergers are established to create efficiencies, including but not limited to staff reductions particularly in areas where redundancy might exist. The handwriting is on the wall and reduced staff and services will result from this
ill-fated plan. Did we learn nothing from the recent pandemic, that by the way hasnā€™t gone away. IMO, this will not end well for the tax paying public.

Maybe trim back nurses and other staff who had previously retired and have since been rehired to fill various positions. I'd like to see the numbers on that demographic!
