Mr Neil was my English teacher during the early 1950s. I still cant call him Owen--always Mr Neil to my generation of students.
He was an exceptional teacher and I always thought he inspired me to follow his profession which I did for over 30 years. He instilled a love of all things to do with English -from reading and writing to poetry.
Condolences to the family!

Murray was a fine man and great colleague. We have many memories of our time at Bruce Mines school. He was a quiet guy but had a great sense of humour which came out at times--especially on our fishing trips. He had great stories about the navy and police work. It was a pleasure to know this great educator and friend.
