McCaig, William Bernard "Bernie"

With his family by his side at Algoma Manor, Thessalon on Monday December 23, 2013.  Bernie McCaig in his 76th year, beloved husband of Gale (  nee Heard  ) of Desbarats for 55 years.  Loving father of Brian William, Melanie McCaig ( Brian Hayes ) of Sault Ste. Marie,  William Bernard ``Bernie`` Jr. ( Stephanie ) of Toronto and the late Jim.  Special Grandpa to Brandon ( Nicki ) of Ottawa.  Dear brother of Ted ( Cecile ) of Sault Ste. Marie and the late Eva Pateman ( late Lawrence ), Mae Haight ( late Carl ), Thelma Haight ( late Randal ), Jack ( Ruth ), Rhoda MacMillan ( late David ),  Margaret Noble, Ivan ( late Phyllis ) and  Fred ( Gail Gardiner ).  Dear brother-in-law of Ed Heard ( Wilma ), Don Heard ( Ruth ) and the late Joan Walker ( late Harold ), Edith Gregory ( Gord ) and Doug Heard ( late Maureen ).  Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  Friends may call at the Beggs Funeral Home, Thessalon on Sunday December 29, 2013 from 2 to 4pm.  Funeral service in the chapel on Monday December 30 at 1 o`clock.  Donations to the Algoma Manor Charitable Foundation gratefully accepted.  www.beggsfh.com
