It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dan our brother, uncle and stepfather on Wednesday, December 20, 2023. Dan died in his 70th year at the Sault Area Hospital surrounded by family who loved him.
Dan is reunited with the love of his life, the late Jackie Hoffman-Bellerose and his parents the late Lloyd and the late Doris Bellerose. He leaves behind his brothers Larry (Elia), Richard (Maureen) and Tim (Connie). He was the proud uncle to Tim, Chris, Patrice, Jennifer, Marika, Erin and Sara. He will be fondly remembered by his stepchildren Michael Hoffman (Rhonda), Roxanne Richards (late Jerry) and Sheena Siemens (Don).
Dan was an avid reporter of the Sault Star for over 35 years. He enjoyed curling with his friends, the occasional Labatt 50 and spectating at many Men’s Brier Curling Championships with his brothers, nieces and friends. The family would like to thank the wonderful nurses and doctors of the ICU and 3C at the Sault Area Hospital for your care and compassion.
As per Dan’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will follow at a later date. Donations (payable online or by cheque) to the Sault Area Hospital Foundation or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
