After a pair of recent signings, the Algoma University men’s basketball team has added two more players to the fold.

Nathan Riley and Jermaine Khalil Lyle will join Algoma beginning in the fall.

Both Kitchener, Ont. natives, Riley and Lyle were teammates with the St. Mary’s High School Eagles in the southern Ontario city.

The pair were a part of five consecutive District 8 titles and three Central Western Ontario Secondary School Association champions.

Riley and Lyle were also members of the Ontario Basketball Association’s Waterloo Wolves club team for four years. As members of the U19 Wolves in 2015, the two were part of an Amateur Athletic Union OBA championship team. The team also finished second in the AAU’s Canadian National Invitational Tournament.

In other Algoma athletics news, Thunderbirds soccer teams begin training camps on Aug. 17 at the George Leach Centre.
