Thirty-six-year-old Louise Desmoulin of 169 John Street in Sault Ste. Marie was arrested just before 6 p.m. last night at Station Mall, after store security said they found porcelain figurines hidden under a black hooded sweatshirt.

Sault Mayor John Rowswell and Ward 2 Councillor Susan Myers had the singular pleasure of shooting off a cannon yesterday in the general direction of a horde of excited children. The kids thought it was way cool too. The cannon was loaded with candy.
