CITY POLICE NEWS RELEASES ************************* Motor vehicle collision involving City Transit bus The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service responded to a motor vehicle collision on June 13 just before 9 a.m.

City Council has endorsed a bid by Essar Shipping Ports & Logistics Limited (ESPLL) for federal funding for a port in the Sault Ste. Marie. Applications for funding under the federal government P3 Canada Fund are due June 30.

The Millennium Fountain on the Sault Ste. Marie waterfront is pretty unimpressive, says Ward 1 City Councillor Steve Butland. Especially at night. Butland says the flume is too small and the fountain is too far from shore to even be seen at night.

City Council has decided to rename the Hub Trail as the John Rowswell Hub Trail and to name the redeveloped former AB McLean & Sons Ltd. site just east of the Civic Centre as John Rowswell Park. Rowswell succumbed to cancer in August 2010.
