The child remains in critical condition at Children's Hospital of Western Ontario in London, Ontario, where he was flown last week.

The parents, 46-year-old Kevin Edwards and 35-year-old Treena Edwards, are accused of assaulting their son between August 11 and October 26. Earlier SooToday.com coverage of this story
