Dylan Jocko was not formally charged yesterday with one count of accessory after the fact in the murder of Wesley Hallam.

Sault Ste. Marie Police reported that Jocko was charged with accessory after the fact when he appeared in court yesterday to face other charges.

But the paperwork on the Hallam-related charge wasn't ready.

Instead, Jocko (shown leaving the courthouse in custody yesterday) made a brief appearance to be told he would have to return today to face charges relating the Hallam murder as well as a truck theft early Saturday evening.

Jocko and two others allegedly fled the scene after crashing the stolen vehicle into the front steps of a house on John Street.

Also arrested with Jocko was his wife, Melissa Elkin.

Ronald Albert Mitchell was charged last month with the murder of Hallam, whose decapitated and dismembered remains were found in a creek off Landslide Road on January 11.

Mitchell was arrested on January 17 in Thunder Bay, Ontario and charged with second-degree murder.

Eric Mearow, a known associate of the victim, was also picked up in Thunder Bay on January 14 and returned to the Sault.

All three remain in the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre at this time.

Police say Hallam was killed on January 8 at a party with about eight to 12 people present at 30 Wellington Street East.

They are still searching for parts of Hallam's body, as well as a number of other items of interest including tools, tarps and articles of clothing.

There has been no indication from police of what role Jocko is alleged to have played in the murder of Wesley Hallam, only that the investigation is continuing.//
