Eight active fires in the region

There have been three new fires reported in the East Fire Region within the last 24 hours. Sudbury 8 was reported late on June 23 at 0.1 hectares and has already been called out. Cochrane district has two new fires.

Currently there are eight active fires in the region. Cochrane district has six active fires, and Timmins, and Wawa districts have one each.

The fire hazard within the East Fire Region is high to extreme for the majority of the region.
