Here's what they said about Walker at last night's award ceremony.

************************* Throughout Nicole’s life in her roles as a mother, daughter, wife and student she always enjoyed the opportunity to socialize and make new connections.

She felt the need to make those around her feel comfortable and have a positive experience.

Her childhood played a huge role in the choices she made to further my education within the hospitality industry.

Her mother was instrumental as she led by example with her confidence, quiet strength, and her ability to always treat people with dignity and grace.

Nicole had the great fortune in the past to be employed in a sales and customer service capacity.

Many of her past experiences with employers, co-workers and customers influenced her decision to continue her education, through their advice, training, positive feedback and words of encouragement.

Her experiences at Sault College have made a great impact on her ability to excel.

The faculty and staff have been incredibly attentive, supportive and generous with their time.

Nicole is thrilled to have had the opportunity to learn and grow at Sault College both personally and professionally, and plans to continue her studies this year and finish with a strong GPA.

From there she intends on implementing the knowledge and skills acquired from the Hospitality Management – Hotel and Resort program and continue to further her education in Sales and Marketing.

Her long term goal is to exercise her entrepreneurial spirit and talents in a Resort Management position.

This past summer and fall, as part of her Co-op program, Nicole was employed by Tourism Sault Ste. Marie as a Travel Ambassador on board the Agawa Canyon Tour Train
