************************* Congratulations to Wacky Wings Eatery & Beverage Co.

Started in 2007, the idea behind Wacky Wings was to specialize in the popular North American finger food by offering more than 100 flavours.

Of course, while specializing in chicken wings, the Eatery also offers a wide selection of additional menu items.

When designing the look of the original restaurant on Lake Street, a conscious decision was made to incorporate a distinct Northern Ontario look and feel to restaurant, with all natural wood attributes and a unique fun décor.

The idea was to create a brand which would also be marketable in other communities and offer an opportunity for expansion and growth.

And grow it has.

In only two years time, the company was able to double its first year sales.

A second location was opened at 688 Great Northern Road in the Spring of 2010.

The success of that location has necessitated the purchase of additional property behind the Eatery in order to expand parking capacity.

Locally, Wacky Wings now employs approximately 80 full and part-time employees.

Than number will soon grow as more employees are added provincially and across the country.

In addition to expanding its business interests, the company has also attempted to expand its community involvement as well.

Wacky Wings has been a visible participant in the Rotary Community Day Parade the Dragon Boat Races and has recently opened itself up for sport team sponsorships as well as undertaking a significant scholarship drive for the Sault College Business program.
